About The Event

With race-based aggression on the rise, it is more important now than in the recent past that African Americans learn to defend themselves against potential attacks. Recent news reports show that both adults and children are vulnerable to attacks at school, commuting, and while simply moving about their day-to-day lives. Without personal self defense training, their lives are in the hands of the aggressor.

This workshop is designed to teach African American men, women, and children the importance of self defense, and the ease by which they can defend themselves should the need ever arise. Master Teacher T'Shango Mbilishaka will breakdown the historical relevance and legacy of Black self defense while also demonstrating easy to apply techniques designed to neutralize threats, and maintain personal safety.
